The One with an Angel

Last night as we were watching an episode of Superbook I heard Gab say "angel" referring to the angel who was tasked to guard and seal the garden of eden. Gab then made a flying gesture with both hands.

It's amazing to see him watch and enjoy Superbook. It's really as if he understands what's happening in the story.

#mamadiaries (part 5)

Some of the words and phrases that Gab could already say at two years, 4 months:

1. "chit down" - obviously he says this when he wants us to sit down beside him :) 
2. "glow train" - when he wants me to play "max the glow train" in his iPad
3. "watch" - again, when he wants me to open the TV or the iPad
4. "sleep" - he says, "Papa sleep" or "Mama sleep" when he sees us closing our eyes
5. "hide, hide" - when i hide under a blanket or when he wants us to play hide and seek
6. "dee dee" - when he wants milk
7. "outside" - when he wants us to go outside
8. "kooku" - for circle, for a long time all he could say was, "koo"
9. "open" - for a long time all he could say was, "pe-pen"
10. "bu" - for "bus"
11. "dump truck"
12. "bu" for bulldozer
13. "ex" for excavator
14. "taxi" for taxi
15. "P car" for police car
16. "hands" when he wants us to clean his hands
17. "oo-oo" when he wants us to change his diapers
18. "there, Mama" when he looks for me and eventually finds me
19. "no dee dee" when he finishes his milk
20. "big" usually to refer to a big car, when he could not fit that inside his toy garage

#mommydiaries (part 4)

• He loves to say "Ati" when referring to Ate Paz
• Loves his "Lolo" and likes to go "outside" with him everyday
• Loves to count things, sometimes even up to twenty though I have yet to figure out which numbers he knows for sure. 
• He either forgets #7 or intentionally skips it
• He likes giving hugs and kisses and I can tell this makes his Lola and Lolo so very happy
• He knows so many colors now, even "gray" which is the color of our car
• He loves to pop BIG bubbles with his index finger or have them pop on his face
• He can distinguish now between a dump truck, a tow truck, an excavator, a bulldozer and a back hoe. But the first thing he learned about was the fire truck. 
• He can now do a mano po when we tell him, "bless" and hold out our hand to him. He reaches for our hand and brings it to his forehead.

Gab Sings on a Rainy Day

Rainy day yesterday morning which is unfortunate for Gab who was just excited to see the "kokoks" and the "ngiyaws" that are plenty in this side of QC. to comfort him, i carried him close to me and began to sing "rain, rain... go away... come again another day...little Gab wants to play... rain rain go away..."

I repeated my song, but this time Gab (who is two years and three months old) decided to join in. As I started to sing "rain, rain..." Gab eagerly chimed in and sang "... go away..." to my delight and my surprise! My heart melted right then. I already knew he loves music, I had no idea he can now do a duet! And he sang in tune and managed to string together those two words perfectly!

That was one happy moment and I can only praise God for putting the love of music into his heart. 

I can't wait to hear more of him sing.

Gab is such a big boy now!

• he used to play with his megablocks, but nowadays he plays with duplo.
• he used to call his train "choo-choo", but lately he can already say "train"
• he loves his playgroup especially interacting with kids his age. yesterday (11/30/2016) for the first time i think he held hands with kids to form a circle and go round and round :) he was also playing with this boy who is a month younger perhaps, following the boy around the mat, crawling together and not minding at all where his mama is!
• he's such a friendly boy! he waves at people in elevators, shows them his toy car and blow flying kisses even when he feels like it. he even shakes hands with kids on the MTR.
